Shooting in one of Dubai’s busiest hotels, especially at the height of tourism season, is a challenge I am always eager to take on. The most important aspect was ensuring that we could get every stunning shot without interrupting the precious holidays of even a single hotel guest. The shoot was full of stories. Rehearsing with acrobats on and off location, shooting from a helicopter in an impossibly tight window right after a three-day sand storm, cranes on water and at sea, underwater shooting in one of the world’s biggest tanks, complex CGI work and so many different time zones to cover. In the end, we made it all happen and I can’t hear the music track without reliving every one of those memories.
